Mary Louise Ivey Crumbley Cole

KINGSPORT - Mary Louise Ivey Crumbley Cole, 88, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at her residence.

Mary was born on May 27, 1931 to the late Willie and Hettie Jane Ivey in Pulaski County, Georgia. Mary enjoyed working in the yard and in her garden, canning, and especially cooking for her family. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend. 

Along with her parents Mary is preceded in death by her husband, John Cole; daughter, Patty Jane Riley; first husband, John David Crumbley; granddaughter, Denise Crumbley; infant grandson; four brothers and five sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Ann Patton and husband Floyd; sons, Lamar Crumbley and wife JoAnn, Ronald David Crumbley and wife Shawn, Randy Crumbley and wife Donna, Bruce Crumbley and wife Janet; step son, Carl Cole; she was blessed with 103 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sisters, Faye Ivey, Linda Settles and husband Gerald, Francis Lindsey; brothers, Ricky Ivey and Greg Ivey; along with several nieces and nephews and lots of friends. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00PM on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Tim Nelson and Grandson, Gary Bruce Crumbley Jr. officiating. Chris Holder will provide music. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Hilltop Mission Cemetery. Mary’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 AM.
