Summer fun is made for sharing!

Summertime is a great time to get out and enjoy all the region has to offer. And we want to see how you’re spending your summer days ~ so we’re dialing up the photo fun with a host of ways you can share your summertime snapshots with us and all of your neighbors here in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Vacation Bible School

Sunday Stories invites you to share photos from your church’s Vacation Bible School activities. Selected shots will be featured in print, and all of the photos will appear in our weekly VBS galleries at TimesNews.Net. Be sure to tell us a little about the photo(s) and where and when it was taken.

Going Places

We know our readers are going places and we want to see those travel photos. In Sunday Stories, we’ll highlight some of them in our Scrapbook Showcase and feature all of them online at TimesNews.Net. Whether they’re here in our beautiful mountains or elsewhere around the globe, share photos from your summertime adventures. If your trip is really unique, we might even do a story about it. So, be sure to tell us a little about it and include the names of people and places featured in the photos you share.

Sunday Scrapbook

We always welcome pictures from special events, reunions, birthday parties, mission trips, band camps, fundraising events and everyday life here in our region. The only thing we ask is that the photos be of an event that has already occurred, preferably within the past three months. Selected photos appear weekly in print and online at TimesNews.Net.

Need to promote an upcoming event? Send that information to communitynews@timesnews.net and we’ll make sure it gets to the right folks.

This Week in Sports

Playing ball or practicing this summer? We haven’t forgotten you! We have a place for those photos too in This Week in Sports ~ a weekly page and online gallery celebrating you and your teams. You can check out this week’s featured photos on page 9 of the Sunday Stories section. No matter the age, no matter the outcome, we shine a spotlight on players and coaches throughout the region. So, whether you're attending a summer sports camp, playing a game or merely watching one, snap a photo and share it with us! You can even submit sports-related photos by tagging us on Twitter (@tnsportslive). If you don’t follow us, be sure to hop over and do that!

So, who’s ready to show off the summer’s best shots?

Email your photos to us at our new email address: scrapbook@thenetmg.com. You can also still reach us at sundayscrapbook@timesnews.net or sportslive@timesnews.net. Don’t forget to provide some basic caption information, along with your name so we can credit you for sharing the photos.

We can’t wait to see them and show them off!
