Wanted: Your best shots for our 'Holiday Scrapbooks'
Nov 23, 2018 at 4:30 PM
The Times News is celebrating you - our wonderful readers - this holiday season. So, from now through year's end, we will feature themed "Holiday Scrapbook" pages showcasing you, your friends and family members, your favorite holiday traditions, your decorations, even your family pets.
Share your photo(s) with us by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org. All of the photos will be included in our online Holiday Scrapbooks. The best shots of the season could appear on one of our front pages, in the Living section or right here in our weekly Sunday Scrapbook. A little hint: We love seeing the smiling faces of family and friends enjoying all things Christmas at home and out in the community.
Here's our Holiday Scrapbook gallery schedule. The dates listed are the dates the galleries will be posted online at TimesNews.Net. So, be sure to get those photos in before that date to make sure they’re included.
Nov. 28: Thanksgiving Treasures: Share photos of your family and friends enjoying food, football and fellowship. Show off that dinner you cooked. Catch Uncle Bob napping in the recliner. Snap an action shot of that backyard football game. Anything that says Thanksgiving fits here.
Dec. 5: Trees & Things: We’re looking for the area’s prettiest Christmas decorations, inside and out, including those beautifully-adorned Christmas trees. Free free to include stories about special decorations, themes or ornaments you use in your home. If it’s worth sharing in social media, consider sharing it here too.
Dec. 12: Family & Friends: Here’s where those smiling faces really come in! Send us your favorite photos of your family and friends enjoying local festivities, visiting with Santa, decorating, baking, wrapping gifts or taking in the scenery. Can’t wait to see how you’re celebrating the holidays this year.
Dec. 19: Howl-i-day Pet Photos: Show off your furry friends decked out in their Christmas best, or just "enjoying" your decorations.
Be sure to include a brief description and the names of folks/pets in the picture(s), so that all of our readers will recognize them in the scrapbook.
Email the photos (along with your name and hometown) to: email@example.com.
Not savvy enough to email them to us? Ask a youngster in your life, or mail them to us at: Holiday Scrapbook, Attn: Carmen Musick, Kingsport Times-News, 701 Lynn Garden Drive, Kingsport, Tenn. 37660.
We can't wait to see and share your photos!
